Her sense of style has remained chic and elegant throughout all her years in the Bollywood industry. In the last few months, we’ve noticed that she is at the peak of her style game wearing incredible outfits for every event she attends.

Malaika Arora in Galino Podzolko

Malaika struck a pose in a phenomenal gown from Galino Podzolka styled by Maneka Harisinghani. Her long sleeved gown was covered in gold sequins from top to bottom. Maneka styled her gown with gold earrings from Arvino and gold strappy heels. This figure-hugging outfit showed off her curves in all the right ways. These kind of over-the-top outfits aren’t easy to pull off, but Malaika did it oh so naturally!

No outfit is ever complete without hair and makeup, amirite? For this glamorous look—Mehak Oberoi gave Malaika matte skin with soft contour, this showed off her amazing cheekbones. Neha Dhupia’s sense of style has been on fire for the past few years. With an overflow of TV shoots, awards and events she has attended, every outfit she wore has been perfect for the occasion. Neha’s typical style is very unusual with a lot of prints, suit jackets, asymmetrical dresses topped off with statement jewellery. Over the last few months we’ve seen a lot of badass, biker-chic kind of outfits since she has been shooting and hosting MTV Roadies. Through the posts on her Instagram, it is evident that she likes to keep her style bold and fierce.

Neha Dhupia In House Of Masaba & Rare Heritage

Neha showed us how exactly fierce she can be in a striking red outfit that she wore to an event. Gurleen Gambhir and Sukhmani Gambhir of Gumani Stylists styled her in a cherry-red look from House Of Masaba and Rare Heritage. The outfit consisted of pants and long-sleeved top-turned cape combination. For accessories, they dressed her in chunky, kundan necklaces and bangles and a small back clutch. They chose a pair of black pump heels to complete her look.

For hair and makeup, Elisha Agarwal went for matte skin with a deep contour. She gave Neha a smudged smokey eye kind of look with a nude lip. Hamida Idrisi pulled back her hair into a sleek low bun with a middle parting. Her hair and makeup looked so elegant with her outfit.

In Payal Khandwala

Another perfect example of her unusual style is this outfit from Payal Khandwala. Neha wore an asymmetrical, multi-pleated, royal-blue dress. Her off-shoulder dress was styled with ankle-length mustard-yellow pants. She wore a pair of black pump heels for this look too. The Gumani team accessorized her beautiful outfit with bangles from Ritika Sachdeva.

For this look, Neha wore minimal makeup with a soft contour showing off her amazing cheekbones and blushed cheeks. Her hair was styled in messy waves pulled up into a tight high ponytail.

In Urvashi Joneja

Neha slayed is this metallic silver and blue asymmetrical dress from Urvashi Joneja. This unusual, silky dress is another example of her unusual and edgy style. They styled her outfit with the same pair of black pumps. With these three outfits, Neha also showed us how to rock the same pair of heels for completely different looks!

Neha Dhupia (Source: Gumani Stylists)

Her makeup for this outfit was kept natural with slightly flushed cheeks and a light brown smokey eye. Neha’s hair was styled in loose messy curls and kept to one side. For distinct dresses like this, natural-looking hair and makeup works best.

Whether they are running an errand, catching a flight or hitting the gym, our Bollywood celebrities always put their most fashionable foot forward, because wherever they go, all eyes are on them. Be it the paparazzi following them everywhere, or fans running to them for selfies. There is always an unsaid social pressure on them to look their best. But what does Bollywood wear, when the social pressure is off and they are social distancing?  You would be shocked to see that celebrity #ootds are a lot like ours!

While a ton of celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, and Deepika Padukone have all been posting videos of how to wash your hand and stay safe at this time, they’re also asking fans to stay at home.

If you’re looking for outfit ideas for staying indoors, these Bollywood starlets #OOTD’s will have you covered.

Malaika Arora in a tee and palazzo style jeans

I know, wearing a pair of jeans when loafing at home is honestly impractical and uncomfortable. Pick a pair of wide-legged, loose and comfy palazzo style denims instead, like Bollywood hottie MalaikaStyle it with a simple graphic tee. See how the hem of her sleeves are rolled up? Well, simple hacks like these, make the look more stylised. She finished her look with a cute gingham printed headband.

Amyra Dastur‘s silk slip dress

Keeping it comfy, elegant and sexy, Amyra was lounging at home in a maroon silk slip dress. We love how she did not skip out on the accessories and wore her look with a dainty evil eye necklace. Slip dresses are a classic Bollywood representation too.

Ananya Pandey and Janhvi Kapoor’s tie-dye look

The young guns of Bollywood, Ananya and Janhvi used their off time to indulge in productive hobbies. While Ananya was baking, Janhavi decided to de-stress by painting. Both of them were seen splashing some colour and beating the quarantine blues in tie-dye. Ananya wore a sweatshirt while Janhavi wore a colourful tie-dye tee.

Kriti Sanon working that patchwork

Kriti sat down to chat with her fans on Instagram from home. For the same, she wore a brown top that had a printed patchwork sleeve. She styled the look with a cute hairdo, where she pulled her hair back, left a few strands loose and tucked her hair in place with a blush pink headband! This hairdo is hassle-free, easy to do and instantly makes you look put-together.

Athiya Shetty bringing back the 90s back to Bollywood

Athiya Shetty was basking in the summer sun while she wore a pair of classic blue, comfy mom jeans which she styled with a classic striped top. The actress is proof that, just because you are social distancing, doesn’t mean your outfit can’t be cute.

Katrina Kaif’s printed shorts

As the days are passing by, the summer sun is soaring and Katrina Kaif pulled out her cutest shorts to beat the heat. She took to Instagram to encourage people to let their house help practice self-isolation. While washing the dishes, she wore a cute striped top, with a pair of daisy printed shorts.

Priyanka Chopra‘s white blouse and blue jeans

PeeCee took the #SafeHands challenge, prompting her fans to practice washing hands often. In the video, she wore a white, high neck cotton blouse, with a pair of classic blue jeans. A blouse like this one is comfy, and perfect for those work video calls where you have to look presentable shoulder up.

Deepika Padukone pulled out her comfy Pj collection

The ever-so-stylish and elegant Bollywood bombshell decided to quarantine and chill in her Pjs, and honestly, I feel her. If there is no work from home or work video calls to attend to, you might as well slip into your pyjamas. But hey, give your 15-year-old PJs from high school and torn tee a break, and pull out your luxurious Pj sets to social distance in style.

Disha Patani‘s Bollywood pose in a playsuit

Disha decided to dress things up a little as she watched the sunset from her balcony. She posted a picture of herself, where she struck a pose in a floral printed playsuit, that had a ruffled hem and criss-cross detail on the back! She even accessorised the look with a dainty necklace.

Trendy Saree Blouses: Sonam Kapoor Ahuja & Deepika Padukone (Source: @sonamkapoor, @shaleenanathani)

The saree is a quintessential must-have and the saree blouse leaves room for you to experiment even more. Needless to say that we’re a nation obsessed with Bollywood and back in the day, my only access to fashion was from the hit Bolly movies that launched. I would make it my life’s mission to go to my tailor and say, I want to re-create one particular look from the Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham song and he would gladly oblige. Everyone I knew wanted to look like a celebrity on the big screen because we were constantly looking for styles that appealed to our sensibilities. And we were secretly making a mental checklist for all our upcoming wedding functions that we could model these new looks at.

I know for a fact that even today we look to Bollywood for inspiration. The only difference is that now we look to the clothes celebs wear during their promotions instead of just the movies they are in. I’ve always enjoyed the drama and songs in Bollywood movies and it makes of an experience that is unique to Indian cinema. These dream-like sequences require larger than life costumes that eventually turn into some of our wardrobe staples.

Here’s a list of Bollywood celebrities wearing trendy saree blouses:

1. Sonam Kapoor in leaf-cut neckline

Sonam’s organza blouse with ditsy print detailing is elegant and feminine. I love the leaf cut neckline and the knot detailing around the end of her bell sleeves as well. A nice style when waiting to be sexy but graceful.

2. Kareena Kapoor Khan in a one-shoulder saree blouse

Bebo‘s one shoulder saree blouse is stunning as ever. She paired it with a customised organza hand-painted saree from Picchika.

3. Katrina Kaif in a lacy long-sleeved saree blouse

Love the plunging neckline on this saree blouse, it instantly elongates the neckline and makes the ensemble look trés chic. Plus it’s a happy break from all the black to be able to see some skin. Love the lace sleeves and the peek-a-boo effect from it. She wears Sabyasachi.

4. Kriti Sanon in cold-shoulder blouse

This saree is perfect for a mehendi look and what’s prettier is the cold-shoulder, ruffle sleeved saree blouse on this ensemble. Kriti wear a Manisha Malhotra creation.

5. Sonakshi Sinha in a thin strap scooped neckline blouse

This scoop-neck blouse is most commonly used by women but looks really fashionable. It leaves enough room for accessorising the look as well. Sona wears a saree from Raw Mango.

6. Diana Penty in tube top blouse

Diana’s 3d embellished, floral, tube top looks fab with this tie-dye sequin saree from Akanksha Gajria. This look is outstanding against Diana’s complexion.

7. Rakul Preet in halter style neckline

Rakul’s dhoti style stitched saree from Shehlaa Khan is quite a hot number for the summer. The plus point is its colour, of course. But the pleated detailing on this halter makes it a flattering and unique choice.

8. Vidya Balan in a cropped bolero blouse

Loving Viday’s unconventional use of the cropped bolero. The mix of a western formal garment with an Indian classic is quite unique. In fact, I always find Vidya experiments quite a lot with sarees and looks fantastic in them too. She is wearing Yavi, a unique and urban brand.

9. Malvika Mohanan in a bejewelled bustier

Malvika’s sweetheart neckline, spaghetti strap bustier works beautifully with this sheer number because you’re able to see all the embroidery on the blouse. This is a great neckline and blouse to wear with heavy diamond jewellery, also to show off those fantastic collar-bones. She is wearing a Falguni and Shane Peacock outfit.

10. Richa Chaddha in bishop sleeves

Richa’s regal saree blouse looks like an item I might pair with a high waisted skirt and trousers even. The blouse features bishop sleeve and has chevron style yellow stripes all across the blush pink blouse. Richa’s saree is from Nayantaara.

11. Konkona Sensharma in a polo neck saree blouse

The stand out hot-pink colour n this boxy polo neck blouse looks great. Pair with a printed saree like Konkona or pair with another bright solid colour. Her saree is from Rishta by Arjun Saluja—Arjun is famously known for his structured designs.

12. Tillotama Shome in a shirt

I love the idea of pairing a shirt with a saree because it seems like a modern take on a classic look. It can be a comfortable option for those who feel uncomfortable with the idea of skin show. Tillotama wears a saree from Viva la Vida By MSD.

13. Mira Kapoor in ruffled saree blouse

Mira’s v-neck blouse with ruffle detailing is so pretty, I love this onion pink saree that looks incredible on Indian skin tones. I would slick my hair back like Mira and wear statement earrings to enhance this look. She wears Manish Malhotra.

What type of saree blouse are you most likely to get stitched from this collection above? Let me know in the comments below.

Classic Lehengas, Aditi Rao Hydari & Kareena Kapoor Khan | (Source: Instagram | @sanamratansi, @mohitrai )

Have you been mercilessly scrolling through your Instagram feed too? I know I have been and I’ve been scrolling every chance I get. What I miss is my favourite B-town hotties strutting their stuff around town. I did enjoy the inspiration and their tremendous efforts to dazzle us with every chance they’d get. So I decided to randomly stalk some of my favourite celebrities and noticed that some of the lehengas they’ve worn are stunning! Of course, me being me I immediately decided that I had to add it to another fun Indianwear listicle that proves exactly what I noticed. Because who doesn’t love being right? amirite?

If you’re interested in building up an ethnic wardrobe packed with robust colours and on-trend items then look no beyond Bollywood. Because our B-town beauts really know how to wear classic wardrobe must-haves that simply blow us over each time.

Here’s a list of my favourite B-town hotties sporting classic lehengas:

1. Kriti Sanon

Kriti wears a Shehlaa Khan lehenga with a scarlet rose print in satin georgette fabric. I like the modern waist belt which means it also be worn several times as a maxi skirt as well. The red organza jacket featured cascading ruffles and a circular flounce at the end of the sleeve. The crop top can also be paired with high waisted pants, I imagine it looks very sexy.

2. Tamannaah Bhatia

Tamannaah wears a fuschia-pink appliqué and embellished lehenga set from Aisha Rao. I love how detailed the ensemble is and the mix of colours that work perfectly with one another. The addition of that yellow embellished organza dupatta is quite a flattering and fun element.

3. Aditi Rao Hydari

Aditi wears a royal purple lehenga set from Jayanti Reddy. The outfit looks like it’s made from silk with Zardozi work. This type of embroidery uses copper wire with a silver or gold polish and silk threads. It is also interesting to see how the embellishments have been spaced out on the ensemble creating a very well-balanced garment.

4. Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena’s heavily embroidered lehenga from Anamika Khanna is stunning as ever. The black bustier is completely embellished and matches the bottom with its gold and silver thread work. The black colour of the ensemble is broken with the help of an ivory embroidered dupatta. An ivory dupatta seems to be a signature, addition to Anamika’s collections.

5. Malaika Arora

Malaika’s salmon pink Swarovski embellished lehenga features delicately embroidered linear patterns that ease into chevrons and geometric symmetry. The beaded dupatta and bustier are quite the highlight to me and seem to work well against brown skin tones. She wears a Tarun Tahiliani number.

6. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja

Sonam wears a RheaXMasaba creation. What is lovely about this lehenga is that it is casually glamourous. The fun print, the blouse being a shirt, the long bell sleeves and the knot front detail make it quite modern. Although I struggle with repeating prints, that would be my only issue when investing in this piece.

7. Katrina Kaif

Katrina’s blue print-on-print lehenga from Anita Dongre is a hard one to ignore. The ensemble featured light-weight fabric and pockets and also a sheer printed dupatta to break the blue tones that run through the outfit.

8. Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi’s all gold ensemble from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla is mesmerising. The skirt of the lehenga is embroidered with mirror work and has a bustier with gold thread work. The stand out dupatta has green piping along the edges adding a much-needed pop of colour to the outfit.

9. Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha’s emerald green Anita Dongre outfit stole my heart. I love the keyhole neckline and the tunic style three-quarter sleeved choli, which would work for women who might be conscious to show their tummy. This is a pretty detailed ensemble filled with a whole lot of embellishments and various types of embroideries, some of which are resham, dori, sequins, zari and zardosi work.

10. Alia Bhatt

Alia’s ensemble from Anushree Reddy is unique because it has no dupatta. I love the vintage floral print of the lehenga and the ruffle neckline on the blouse. Of course, this look can be paired as separates as well. I would totally rock a look like this to a mehendi function.

11. Athiya Shetty

If and when I do get married, I’d want this outfit to be my wedding lehenga. The neckline is so elegant and beautifully off-set with green jewellery. This ivory ensemble features pearl embellishments and a silver foil rim on the end of the dupatta. Possibly my favourite look from Masaba.

Do you see yourself wearing any of these lehengas above? I know storing lehengas can be hard, so try to find one that doesn’t require too much space and is light-weight. Let me know in the comments below.

Co-Ord Sets, Deepika Padukone & Shraddha Kapoor | (Source: Instagram | @shaleenanathani, @lakshmilehr)

Who doesn’t love the summeramirite? What’s most enjoyable is the sunset and icecream palettes that everyone seems to adopt because it is so darn hot! The best way to look chic while beating the heat is by wearing matching sets. Well, I mean in addition to those cute summer dresses and shorts, of course. A lot of the times the fashion world as you would have it tends to reject matchy-matchy outfits and to be fair, I’m not the biggest fan either but there’s something so pleasant about co-ord sets that actually make them a running favourite with everyone.

Here’s a list of celebrities rocking a co-ord set:

1) The Skirt Co-ord Set

I love a nice airy and breezy skirt and they add a lovely feminine touch to one’s aesthetic. Scroll below to see how these celebs have paired their looks.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika wears the Gingham check or as I like to call em—the picnic table checks. The cute bow front detail and the bow details on the shoulder along with the peplum make it an incredibly cute look. The ruffled hem on this circular midi skirt is also adorable AF. Pair your look with nice chunky gold earrings like DP or dedicated laid necklaces.

 Ananya Panday

Ananya does sporty girl like a pro. This look is my vibe, I’m always drawn to a nice mini skirt and jacket look. She pairs her look with white sneakers and a soft white jacket with animated motifs to break the print. Love the light green on her outfit, such a yummy pistachio colour.

Kubra Sait

Kubra’s co-ord set is the perfect look for a day on the beach. The floral print, the tie-front detail with bishop sleeve and a button-down skirt with pockets. Love her gold dangly earrings. If you were to wear this to the beach then defo pair with tan sandals and a nice straw bag.

Tara Sutaria

Nothing like a bright denim set, amirite? Tara wears and orange on orange denim look and breaks the brightness with a cutesy slogan crop top in black. She pulls her hair back into a nice messy pony which is perfect for a look like this. I would wear oversized gold hoops with this look.

2) The Pant Co-ord Set

Another fabulous way to wear this trend is by pairing your look with matching pants. They could be shorts or cropped capri pants even. Scroll below to see how a few celebs have paired this version.

Radhika Aapte

With this look, Radhika is nailing two birds with one stone that being; the bicycle short trend and the matching sets trend of course. Love a good pin-stripe and this red and white stripe reminds me of candy. She break her look with a deep V-neck bustier and layered gold chains.

Alaya F

Alaya’s is another look I’d totally want to wear to the beach. The palm/leafy green print works soo well against the beach backdrop. She wears a short balloon sleeve crop top with a tie-up front detail and pairs it with drawstring jogger pants. I’m just not a fan of the wedges and wish she had paired them with colourful tie-up heels instead.

Alia Bhatt

This is one of my favourite looks from Alia Bhatt. I discovered Peter Pilotto in 2012 when I was studying in London and haven’t stopped being obsessed with his clothes since then. The water-colour print makes her look like a yummy ice-cream sundae. Not forgetting to mention how well the colours merge with each other on this co-ord set. She wears a bishop sleeved, boxy shirt with palazzo pants. Love the nude strappy sandals with this look and the break of colour with the sky-blue handbag

Shraddha Kapoor

This co-ord set marks the genius pairing of horizontal stripes with vertical stripes. Shraddha’s spaghetti strap, knot-front bustier comes fitted with a half peplum. Her high-waisted trousers that end at her ankle, feature cute button detailing down the front. She pairs her look with transparent vinyl strap heels. And fringed hot pink earrings to break the colour. A nice high ponytail to accentuate those earrings works like a charm.

Which type of co-ord set are you most likely to try this summer? Let me know in the comments below.

11 Perfect Party Dresses To Wear Once Quarantine Ends

Party Dresses, Kangana Ranaut & Anushka Sharma | (Source: Instagram | @shnoy09, @anushkasharma)

I’m definitely not a party girl so I stopped investing in those party dresses a long time ago. Although, I have kept a few of those classic pieces that I can pull out when I need to or when an occasion arises. All that being said I am dying to go grab a drink with my friends and tune into a normal frequency. My normal being putting on my black clothes, doing my hair and putting on some makeup. But that doesn’t that you guys don’t enjoy a party or two.

I’m sure everyone’s acutely aware of all the privilege we have and how much we miss the mundane things that we could afford for ourselves. I don’t think anyone’s going to ever take their lives for granted, well for a few months at the very least. I only kid. Anyway, rolling back to party dresses, I really do love them and I tend to enjoy them, even more, when they come in unique styles and patterns. Not just the same old run of the mill stuff, you know what I mean and if not then check out the rest of this blog.

Here’s a look at some fabulous party dresses to get you in the mood to groove:

1) Tamannaah Bhatia

This spaghetti strap floral appliqué dress is such a cute number. The colourful flowers and net detailing also make it the perfect dress to take you from day-to-night. Imagine if you were at drunch and then had to a party out and out in the night, wouldn’t you want to be caught in this dress?

2) Kriti Sanon

Kriti’s shiny ruffle, tiered mini dress looks stunning. The tube dress neckline with cold shoulder detailing and the belt that cinches in the waist, all make it an easy dress to want to reach out to in the closet. I also think a dress like this has great repeat value because of the navy blue colour.

3) Alia Bhatt

Love me an off-beat party look and Alia’s dress just hits all the right beats with me. The tartan print, the feather and sequin detailing on the sleeve along with a gold tassel hem work wonders. This sort of look also works well on all body types.

4) Pooja Hegde

Pooja’s white shirt dress would be such a hit for the summer, I would even wear this look, out at night just so I could stay cool all night long. The folded up sleeves, the knot front with oversized bow detailing all make it the party number it is. Pair with sneakers or heels for your comfort. Love the addition of gold layered necklaces.

5) Sara Ali Khan

Sara’s look is like an artist’s canvas. All the fun prints and colours work together so seamlessly to create the perfect party dress. The dress fits her form so well and accentuates all her curves beautifully. The cold-shouldered puff sleeves really add to the charm of this ensemble. Pair with colourful heels for sure.

6) Alaya F

If you want to go for a more classic look then a silver sequin dress is exactly what you need. The boat neck and long sleeves are not the most optimum for Indian climate but I’d still wear it if the fabric was light enough. This is the perfect look to pair with neon accents.

7) Janhvi Kapoor

Honestly, I can’t find a fault or flaw in Janhvi’s look. I love how rich and royal the purple is. The ruched detailing really highlight that waistline. The sweetheart neckline is an optimum neckline for layered necklaces, a clear favourite. Stacked bracelets and midi rings for the win. This dress also kind of reminds me of a sexy bridesmaids dress as well.

8) Ananya Panday

Ananya’s dress is sexy, feminine and cute all the same. What a killer combo to ace. The sequins and poppy motifs all amp up the cuteness value of this dress. The fuzzy-furry hem detail also adds a touch of glam to this look. I might have done gold layered necklaces on this neckline and kept my ears bare. But both ways work.

9) Karisma Kapoor

Karisma’s rainbow-coloured dress isn’t exactly what most of you would think is a party dress. But let’s be honest these days we spend our time at baby showers and soirées. And sometimes you just need a nice sharp looking midi-dress. This pleated asymmetric dress can be paired with chunky statement earrings or even a necklace. And dress it up with gold heels to pack in that extra punch.

10) Anushka Sharma

I think Anushka is probably one of the best-styled actresses of all time. Her style is clean and effortless including her hair and makeup. This textured pearl white mini with exaggerated puff sleeves would look so fantastic at a friends wedding. I’d pair this look with a nice pair of colourful heels for the summer. Love how she’s even accessorised this look.

11) Kangana Ranaut

Remember when bandage dresses were all the rage? I do and I think they still look fantastic when styled well. Kangana’s fresh take with a sweetheart neckline makes quite the splash. What I also like is the criss-cross buckle detailing along this two-tone dress. The gold is what makes this look pop.

Which party dress will you be sporting as soon as quarantine ends? Let me know in the comments below.

8 Iconic Bollywood Loungewear Styles To Inspire Your Lockdown Look

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Source: YouTube: Veere Di Wedding, Student Of The Year, Dostana)

The first-ever Bollywood film was released over 100 years ago, and ever since then, Bollywood has been the most prominent fashion influencer in India. Sure, with changing times, our relationship with fashion and trends have come a long way. There are fashion bloggers who are shaping the way we dress, one Instagram post at a time. But, Bollywood movies and celebrities still hold the loftiest position in the Indian fashion game.

So if Deepika Padukone‘s midnight blue saree in the song Batameez Dil from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani inspired your farewell saree outfit, and when Rani Mukherjee danced to Koi Mil Gaya in Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, and you couldn’t stop drooling over her silver sequin dress, then why not seek fashion inspiration from Bollywood during the lockdown. The unique thing about Bollywood fashion is that everything is high-octane glamour, which means even when dressed down in PJs, our heroines look picture perfect. While that may be impossible and impractical to achieve, we can always seek loungewear inspiration from them.

As we are living in our PJs all day every day, here are some chic and comfy loungewear ideas from stylish Bollywood movies.

#1. Rani Mukherjee’s Red Silk Robe In Kuch Kuch Hota Hain

As Tina (Rani Mukherjee) is chilling in bed reading her murder mystery novel, Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) visits her to confess his love. In that scene, Rani is lounging in a maroon silk robe, with her perfectly placed high ponytail, almost as if she was expecting Rahul. The movie released in 1998 and even today the silk robe is stylish, which goes to prove that this is classic every girl can invest in, and they would get maximum use out of it.

#2. Madhuri Dixit‘s White Silk Maxi Dress From Dil Toh Pagal Hai

As the lead cast of the movie Dil Toh Pagal Hai celebrated Valentine’s day, like all single girls, Madhuri Dixit had a party of one, in her bedroom. She danced around in a white silk maxi dress that has lace trim around the neckline. A dress like this one, in 2020 is not just something to lounge in at home, but it can also be worn outside, thanks to slip dresses being a trend.

#3. Alia Bhatt‘s Sheer Look In Student Of The Year

Alia Bhatt became a style icon from her very first film. Her character in her debut movie Student Of The Year was of the popular girl Shanya whose style was also always on point. In the song Kukad Kamal Da, where all the girls in the hostel are having a celebratory dance about the arrival of a new good looking boy (strange, I know), Alia Bhatt danced in a sheer, baby doll style, top and shorts set.

#4. Sonam Kapoor‘s Tank Top And PJs In Aisha

Aisha has got to be one of the most stylish Bollywood movies, yet Sonam’s loungewear look in this one is the most relatable. In the scene where Abhay Deol surprises her with a visit in the middle of the night, she wore a blush pink tank top, which has typography on it. Statement tees are a big trend and instantly makes any basic top look cuter. She wore the top with a shrug, comfy, cropped PJs and furry slippers.

#5. Veere Di Wedding‘s Custom PJ Sets

The movie Veere Di Wedding was brimming with outfit inspo, including the loungewear. The lead protagonist of the film wore matching sets from luxury sleepwear brand Dandelion. My personal favourites are Kalindi‘s (Kareena Kapoor Khan) stationery print and star print PJ sets and Avni‘s (Sonam Kapoor) pink custom-made monotone set.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan (Source: Veere Di Weddings)

#6. Priyanka Chopra‘s Tank Top & Shorts In Dostana

Another iconic and super stylish character from Bollywood has to be Neha (Priyanka Chopra) from Dostana. While her styling in the movie was very Miami, her loungewear was somewhat relatable. She mostly lounges around the house in a fitted tank top paired with quirky printed shorts—a no-fail look, especially for summers.

#7. Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Harem Pants & Long Tee In Jab We Met

A loungewear look that went onto become a massive trend was to wear your harem pants or salwar with a long tee. After Kareena wore her white salwar with a printed long tee in Jab We Met, women ditched their PJs for roomy, comfy salwars and paired them with not kurtas, but longline t-shirts for the night time.

#8. Sonam Kapoor’s Print-Clashing PJ Set In Khoobsurat

Of course, we had to mention Sonam Kapoor again, she is the OG fashionista of the industry after all. In the movie Khoobsurat, as she danced to the song Engine Ki Seeti in her PJ set, she wore a white polka tank top which she tied from the side. She aced the print-on-print trend by pairing her star printed tank top with bright pink leopard printed PJs; this is a combo I need ASAP!

Which one of these looks reflects your style the most? Let us know in the comments below. And don’t forget to follow @missmalinifashion for the latest style updates.
